Speaking on ITV’s This Morning on Friday (23 January), DJ Fat Tony, whose real name is Tony Marnoch, shared his first-person eyewitness account of what exactly went down on the fateful night of Brooklyn Beckham’s much-discussed wedding.
In a series of Instagram story posts, Brooklyn claimed his mother, Victoria Beckham, “humiliated” him when she “danced very inappropriately on me.”
Speaking on This Morning, Fat Tony said “the whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room,” as he recounted the events.
“There was no s**tdropping, there was no black cat PVC catsuits, there was no Spice Girl action.”
Pop star Marc Anthony performed at the wedding reception and Fat Tony claimed that he called Brooklyn to the stage.
“The next minute, everyone was expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance,” he said. Anthony then asked for “the most beautiful woman in the room” to join Brooklyn, then said Victoria’s name, instead of Brooklyn’s partner, Nicola.

“Victoria is by the stage, she goes onto the stage, and of course at that point Brooklyn is suddenly, literally, devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife.
“Then Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Brooklyn is stuck there on stage.
“And then they do this dance and Marc Anthony’s going, ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips’. It was a Latin thing.
“The whole situation was very awkward for everyone in the room.”
Fat Tony was asked if the actions were “inappropriate.” He responded: “If [Brooklyn] feels that it was inappropriate and awkward, it was inappropriate and awkward.”
Fat Tony also furthered that the newlyweds were “devastated” but the dance “is a very small part of a bigger problem” for the Beckham family.

DJ Fat Tony, otherwise known as Tony Marnoch, is a notable British DJ and author.
He’s best known for his work during the ‘80s and ‘90s club scene, where he was a prominent voice in house music. He continues to have influence today.
Fat Tony has DJ’d for the likes of Madonna and Prince, as well as the Beckham family.
In his 2022 memoir, I Don’t Take Requests, Marnoch shared his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction and his HIV diagnosis.
Today, the DJ continues to platform LGBTQ+ communities and works as an activist.
Fat Tony married his partner, creative director Stavros Agapiou, in June 2025. Boy George officiated as master of ceremonies.
A former Space Force colonel fired by the Trump administration over her gender identity has raised over $100,000 less than 24 hours after launching a political campaign.
Retired astronautical engineer Bree Fram’s campaign to represent Virginia in US Congress has already skyrocketed into outer space less than a week after she made the announcement.
The 46-year-old Colonel announced her intention to run for the Congressional seat in a Tuesday (20 January) Instagram clip.

“Too many Americans are afraid of what their own government is doing to them, instead of being confident in what it can do for them,” she said in the clip. “That’s why I’m running for Congress.”
Following the announcement, Fram launched a 24-hour fundraising haul aimed at raising funds for her campaign. In less than a day, it received more than $102,000 from at least 400 donors across 46 states, according to MetroWeekly.
She thanked donors in a social media post after the fundraising haul closed, saying they had helped to “turn the page on chaos, vengeance, and attacks on personal freedom.”
Fram was infamously removed from her position as an active duty officer of the United States Space Force in June 2025 after the US government enforced its ban on transgender military personnel. She is believed to be the highest ranking trans officer to have been fired under the executive order.
During her 23 years of service, Fram was deployed in Iraq and Qatar as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, eventually serving in both the US Air Force and Space Force. She came out as trans in 2016 and later became the first trans woman to reach the rank of Colonel.
She was among thousands of personnel ejected from their positions in the United States armed forces over the executive order, despite Trump administration officials struggling to justify the action.
Following her campaign announcement, Fram told InsideNoVa that she was not running “on a platform that is about identity” but rather on the basis of defending Americans’ “basic rights, particularly freedom of speech [and] freedom of assembly.”

The mother of two emphasised the need to restore democratic freedoms dismantled by the Trump administration in an interview with The Advocate, promising not to back down from the fight.
“No matter what rock we might look under, you can find something this administration has [done] that is worthy of not only an investigation but being held accountable,” she said, accusing Donald Trump of failing to “faithfully execute the laws of the United States and to fulfil his oath to support and defend the Constitution.”
Her focus is on ensuring Congress focuses on protecting Americans by investing in issues like social security, disease prevention, housing, and more.
“This is the calling,” she said. “If we don’t stand up now, we might not have anything to stand up for in the future.”

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) voted this week to rescind the most recent version of its workplace harassment guidance, which included examples based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
As NPR reports, the commission voted 2-to-1 on Thursday to rescind the guidance, with EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas and commissioner Brittany Panuccio, both Trump appointees, voting against Commissioner Kalpana Kotagal, the commission’s only Democrat.
The guidance, approved in 2024 under the Biden administration, cited the Supreme Court’s 2020 decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, which established that workplace discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation is a form of sex-based discrimination underTitle VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It included examples of unlawful workplace discrimination involving intentional misuse of pronouns that do not align with an employee’s gender identity and denial of access to restrooms that align with an employee’s gender identity.
As NPR notes, Lucas, who was an EEOC commissioner at the time, voted against the guidance, writing in her dissent that “Biological sex is real, and it matters. Sex is binary (male and female) and is immutable,” and that “It is not harassment to acknowledge these truths — or to use language like pronouns that flow from these realities, even repeatedly.”
President Donald Trump named Lucas the EEOC’s acting chair last January, after firing two Democratic commissioners and the agency’s general counsel. Lucas opposes both DEI initiatives and federal civil rights protections for transgender people and has said that her priorities include “rooting out unlawful DEI-motivated race and sex discrimination.”
In May 2025, a federal judge ruled that the EEOC had exceeded its authority with the updated 2024 guidance, vacating the section related to anti-LGBTQ+ workplace harassment.
As NPR notes, neither that decision nor the rescission of the guidance changes anything about federal laws protecting LGBTQ+ workers from discrimination in the workplace. But it does remove a key resource for employers who rely on the EEOC for guidance on what constitutes unlawful harassment.
“There’s no reason to rescind the harassment guidance in its entirety,” Kotagal said on Thursday, according to NPR. “Instead of adopting a thoughtful and surgical approach to excise the sections the majority disagrees with or suggest an alternative, the commission is throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Worse, it is doing so without public input.”
Kotagal was likely referring to the fact that Thursday’s vote came without the usual 30-day notice and comment period.
While Lucas asserted Thursday that the EEOC would continue to pursue cases of “unlawful harassment,” both former EEOC Chair Charlotte Burrows — who was fired by Trump last year — and Craig Leen, a partner with the employment law firm K&L Gates, noted that the rescission of the EEOC guidance leaves employers in the dark about how to approach issues of harassment.
“There is no public transparency as to how the commission is going to look at these issues, some of which can be quite complicated,” Burrows told NPR.

Äike were an Estonian scooter company, which sadly went bust last year. [Rasmus Moorats] has one, and since the app and cloud service the scooter depends on have lost functionality, he decided to reverse engineer it. Along the way he achieved his goal, but found a vulnerability that unlocks all Äike scooters.
The write-up is a tale of app and Bluetooth reverse engineering, ending with the startling revelation of a hardcoded key that’s simply “ffffffffffffffff”. From that he can unlock and interact with any Äike scooter, except for a subset that were used as hire scooters and didn’t have Bluetooth. Perhaps of more legitimate use is the reverse engineering of the scooter functionality.
What do you do when you find a vulnerability in a product whose manufacturer has gone? He reported to the vendor of the IoT module inside the scooter, who responded that the key was a default value that should have been changed by the Äike developers. Good luck, should you own one of these machines.

People are actively complaining that their mailboxes and queues are being flooded by emails coming from the Zendesk instances of trusted companies like Discord, Riot Games, Dropbox, and many others.
Zendesk is a customer service and support software platform that helps companies manage customer communication. It supports tickets, live chat, email, phone, and communication through social media.
Some people complained about receiving over 1,000 such emails. The strange thing ais that so far there are no reports of malicious links, tech support scam numbers, or any type of phishing in these emails.
The abusers are able to send waves of emails from these systems because Zendesk allows them to create fake support tickets with email addresses that do not belong to them. The system sends a confirmation mail to the provided email address if the affected company has not restricted ticket submission to verified users.
In a December advisory, Zendesk warned about this method, which they called relay spam. In essence it’s an example of attackers abusing a legitimate automated part of a process. We have seen similar attacks before, but they always served a clear purpose for the attacker, whereas this one doesn’t.

So, this could be someone testing the system, but it just as well might be someone who enjoys disrupting the system and creating disruption. Maybe they have an axe to grind with Zendesk. Or they’re looking for a way to send attachments with the emails.
Either way, Zendesk told BleepingComputer that they introduced new safety features on their end to detect and stop this type of spam in the future. But companies are advised to restrict the users that can submit tickets and the titles submitters can give to the tickets.
Stay vigilant
In the emails we have seen the links in the tickets are legitimate and point to the affected company’s ticket system. And the only part of the emails the attackers should be able to manipulate is the title and subject of the ticket.
But although everyone involved tells us just to ignore the emails, it is never wrong to handle them with an appropriate amount of distrust.
Delete or archive the emails without interacting.
Do not click on the links if you have not submitted the ticket or call any telephone number mentioned in the ticket. Reach out through verified channels.
Ignore any actions advised in the parts of the email the ticket submitter can control.

Yes, I know it may seem almost sacrilegious for a pastor and faith leader in the Christian tradition to admit. But it’s true. I never desired or sought after the title, even though I knew that someday I would be one. And even though I have been resistant to the idea, one thing I cannot deny – that I’ve been coming to grips with for the last year or so – is that I do have a pastor’s heart. And it is that pastor’s heart that sets the tone for my book, Faith Deconstruction For Dummies.
Much of my care is informed by my own experiences. My care is also informed by my years of faith leadership, including my time as the senior pastor of a small, non-denominational, Pentecostal-leaning ministry in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia.
I enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University for two reasons. First, I had very real questions about what I’d been taught from the Jesus story in its entirety. The second reason was that I needed to prove to those who claimed they saw something in me that I hadn’t quite seen in myself – a call to ministry – that they were wrong.
How could someone like me, a same-gender-loving Black cisgender male from the South, be called to do ministry? My very presence, as far as the church universal was concerned, was an abomination. What claim did I have to profess the good news of Jesus Christ in anyone’s pulpit? It didn’t help that someone dear once told me God didn’t hear my prayers.
I carried that declaration with me for a long time.
I left the church of my upbringing – the very place where my great aunt served as church secretary and my grandfather (and eventually my father) were eulogized – because I knew it wouldn’t be a safe space for me emotionally, spiritually, or culturally. Like Hagar, the Egyptian servant to Abraham’s wife, Sarah, I decided to take my chances in the wilderness rather than stay in a space that denied my humanity. But eventually, I returned to church and over the course of nearly a decade, became determined enough to boldly engage the questions I had about Jesus, God, faith, and the church universal.
When I declared publicly that I believed Jesus’ humanity was more important than his divinity, I was encouraged to “go to seminary.”
Faith Deconstruction For Dummiesis informed by my own deconstruction journey. It is also informed by my care for people and my understanding of the power and dangers of harmful theology rooted in Christian nationalism and fundamentalism, a theology that has historically run rampant in many of our churches, whether or not they claim to be affirming.
What is faith deconstruction? It depends on who you ask. For me, it is the process of thinking critically about what you believe. In the book, I describe it this way: “For some, faith deconstruction is a critical examination of their faith and theology. Some deconstructionists describe faith deconstructing as weeding. When one deconstructs their faith, they take a deep look at not just their faith, but the influences of their faith understanding.”
Faith deconstruction isn’t anything new. For generations, there have been those whose work centered around pushing back against the harms of religious abuse, manipulation, indoctrination, and persecution, asking questions and providing a different perspective than what we’ve been conditioned to believe. In faith deconstruction, one re-examines the lessons, doctrines, traditions, and harmful theology they’ve been subjected to.
What I bring to the discourse is a lifetime of firsthand experience with harmful theology, and also the knowledge and awareness that religion isn’t all bad. It’s the people who have made it so harmful.
And yes, there are those who deconstruct and completely denounce or walk away from the faith practice of their origin. But that’s not the case for everyone. For some, their faith is strengthened because of their deconstruction. It just depends on what weight and value you place on what you believe. Faith Deconstruction For Dummies is not an attempt on my part to take anyone’s faith from them. I made my intent clear when I was approached to do this book, and that’s still true today. People’s faith is near to them. People are sensitive about their faith. I honor that.
Faith Deconstruction For Dummies provides readers with suggestions for approaching their deconstruction journey, creates space for their questions, and offers a guide to assist them in their deconstruction and the process of deconstructing their faith. It also allows those often overlooked in certain conversations regarding deconstruction to see themselves in the pages because it’s written from the perspective of a Black, same-gender-loving, cisgender male preacher, born and raised in the South with extensive theological training.
I’m simply trying to give people permission to do the things they haven’t been allowed to do: ask questions, investigate, and determine for themselves what they consider not just truth, but purpose. The rest of it is up to you and whatever or whoever you consider to be the divine.

Following the 2026 Oscar nominations announcement, many movie fans were disappointed at the lack of LGBTQ+ representation on the list, with Out.com labelling the event “Oscars so straight.“
Very few queer films and actors made it onto nomination lists for the iconic golden statuette. Notable LGBTQ+ favourites like Sorry Baby, Hedda and Wicked: For Good received no nominations.
Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the body which awards the Oscars, will now vote on the winners ahead of the ceremony on March 15.
Another snub that movie fans were disappointed about was that Daniel Craig has once again been overlooked for his role in Knives Out. In Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man, Craig returns to play queer detective Benoit Blanc.

Additionally, Eva Victor’s acclaimed directorial debut, Sorry, Baby, was completely shut out. Many were convinced that the film, at the very least, would receive a best original screenplay nod.

In the film, Victor (who uses she/her and the/them pronouns) plays a non-binary, queer literature professor recovering from sexual assault.
Another highlighted that the performances in the dark romantic drama Hedda should have been recognised.
Tessa Thompson and Nina Hoss play ex-lovers Hedda and Eileen, respectively. Taking place in one night, the film sees Hedda, a bisexual woman, torn between her comfortable but unfulfilling marriage and the lure of a former, all-consuming love.

Though there were a lot of LGBTQ+ snubs, there are some nominations to celebrate at the 2026 Oscars.
To begin with, KPop Demon Hunters got a nod for Best Original Song for “Golden”. The track was co-written by queer songwriter Mark Sonnenblick.
Furthermore, Come See Me in the Good Light was nominated in the Best Documentary category.
Ryan White’s documentary chronicles the terminal cancer diagnosis of the late poet Andrea Gibson and their wife, Megan Falley.
Also in the documentary category is Mr Nobody Against Putin. Gay creative Pasha Talanki starred, co-directed and narrated the film. The documentary follows Talankin working at a school in Karabash, set against the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war.
Elsewhere, queer filmmaker Adrian Molina earned a nomination for co-directing Pixar’s Elio. Following the film’s release, it came out that the titular character was explicitly “queer-coded” but that got “sanded down.”
Ethan Hawke earned a nomination for Best Actor for his performance as closeted playwright Lorenz Hart in Blue Moon. The biopic follows Lorenz Hart’s life as he reckons with losing his creative partner, Richard Rodgers.
Also, though it may not be explicit LGBTQ+ representation, gay icon Aunt Gladys got an Oscar nod! Actor Amy Madigan was recognised in the best supporting actress category for her work in Weapons, playing the widely memed character.
