MAGA podcaster and close friend of Donald Trump posted to X that the Super Bowl Halftime Show – which was headlined by Bad Bunny and featured performances from out musicians Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin – wasn’t “White enough for me.”
“Illegal aliens and Latin hookers twerking at the SuperBowl,” she seethed. “Not a single white person or English translation at the Super Bowl.”
“This isn’t White enough for me. Cant even watch a Super Bowl anymore because immigrants have literally ruined everything.”

English translations of Bad Bunny’s music are available online.
Loomer wasn’t the only figure on the right who was angry at the Halftime Show but still apparently watched it. Trump himself posted a message about it to Truth Social, calling it “absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!”
“Nobody understands a word this guy is saying,” Trump raged, “and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S. A., and all over the World.”

Conservatives were so upset by the announcement of Bad Bunny as the show’s headliner that the far-right organization Turning Point USA counterprogrammed the Halftime Show with its own show, headlined by Kid Rock and only featuring white performers.
A record 47 out LGBTQ+ athletes are competing in the 2026 Olympic Games, with eight representing the United States. While the LGBTQ+ community is celebrating, not everyone has embraced these athletes with open arms.
Amber Glenn, a bisexual and pansexual member of Team USA and the first out LGBTQ+ woman to compete in Olympic figure skating, announced she’d be taking a break from social media after a slew of hateful comments in response to her speaking out for LGBTQ+ rights.
“When I chose to utilize one of the amazing things about the United States of America (Freedom of speech) to convey how I feel as an athlete competing for Team USA in a troubling time for many Americans I am now receiving a scary amount of hate/threats for simply using my voice WHEN ASKED about how I feel,” she reportedly wrote on her Instagram story on February 7. “I did anticipate this but I am disappointed by it.”
“I will be limiting my time on social media for my own wellbeing for now but I will never stop using my voice for what I believe in.”
She replied that she hopes to use her platform and voice to “try and encourage people to stay strong in these hard times.”
“I know that a lot of people will say, ‘You’re just an athlete, stick to your job, shut up about politics,’ but politics affect us all,” she continued. “It is something that I will not just be quiet about, because it is something that affects us in our everyday lives. So of course there are things that I disagree with, but as a community, we are strong, and we support each other, and brighter days are ahead of us.”
But Glenn is clearly not letting the haters bring her down. Her current Instagram story is a slew of photos and articles celebrating Team USA’s gold medal win in the team skate.
Gus Kenworthy, the gay British-American freestyle skier, also posted about the backlash he has endured for speaking out against ICE.
“The other day I posted a photo with my thoughts on ICE, and that photo has since gone everywhere… and I’ve gotten a ton of messages, and most of them honestly have been supportive and encouraging, people thanking me for speaking up and using my platform, but a lot of the messages have been awful, people telling me to kill myself, threatening me, wishing that they’ll get to see me blow my knee or break my neck during my event, calling me slurs like it’s insane. And maybe that’s the price you pay for speaking up… and so maybe this video is just gonna invite more hate and vitriol but i think it’s important to say what we feel and stand up for what we believe in and stand up for injustice.”
He shouted out other athletes who have also spoken up. “I think it’s inspiring and it’s important, and I also think there’s a lot of nuance to it, and I feel like sometimes people forget that. I just want to remind everyone that you can love the U.S. and be proud to be an American – I am – and still think it can be better and still think that the country can improve. Just because you love the U.S. doesn’t mean you stand with this administration and stand behind their policies… Because I don’t, and I do not support ICE, and I think it’s absolutely evil.”
Kenworthy, who is competing for Great Britain in these games but said he currently lives in the United States, went on to discuss the many atrocities ICE agents have committed around the country. “We are a country of immigrants, and that’s the American dream, and I think people forget that sometimes.”
While the record number of LGBTQ+ athletes competing in Milan – including the first out trans athlete in a Winter Olympics – has been celebrated, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has bent to the will of the anti-trans lobby and has indicated it will likely implement a blanket ban blocking transgender women athletes from competing in women’s competitions by the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games.
